Ramblings

You probably noticed nothing much happened here last week. There’s a simple reason why: I don’t know what to write about.

There is nothing big happening with my writing at the moment. I’m procrastinating on turning my short story “Sequoia” into an ebook. Mostly that’s because creating a title picture is scaring me. I’m grateful to a friend who actually proofread the tale, eliminating quite a few mistakes!

That’s not to say my life has been boring. There has been construction work in the house, which I’ll tell you all about when it’s really finished. With pictures, promise. But so far, I still have a hole in the kitchen that I pretend isn’t there.

I’m als very busy in my other life as coach and therapist. I’m writing stuff for that business, thinking hard, working on restructuring what I do and what I offer. Most of the time, my mind is there. It’s not easy turning what I do with people one-on-one into worksheets and descriptions for others to do on their own through my guidance. My writing experience is helping a lot there, at least. It’s much easier to write text that’s fun to read if one has been playing with novels for more than a decade. I might link you all up to one little ebook once it’s all up and running. (And you will have to give me feedback about the writing in it. Deal!)

Some of my characters are starting to enter my thoughts and that is good. Andert is one of them, which is rather nice. But there’s also Narul, the smith of the second Lar Elien tale. I suddenly have a feeling he’ll play an important part in the fifth one that’s still little more than a collection of scenes. Funny, how novels plan themselves behind my back.

Anyway, I’ll be back soon with the tale about the Ordeal of the New Water Pipes.
